Pauly’s Twilight Dinner Run Saturday 10th May 2025

14 cars and 23 members assembled at McDonalds Kirri Kurri under threatening weather conditions. Roof up or roof down, it was a challenging choice.

Medical kit was needed to treat a member’s finger slammed in a door.

A very comprehensive driver briefing was provided by Pauline and we then got underway under clouds and threatening rain.

Through Kurri Kurri and then on to Weston via a beautiful avenue of trees in their autumn splendor along Cessnock Rd. Then a left turn over the railway to Allandale Rd along some twisty backroads through to Kearsley.

On to Quorrobolong Rd up around the twisty climb and across to a resurfaced section of Sandy Creek Rd. Sun was beginning to set and twilight was descending as we progressed along original sections of Sandy Creek Rd and across the bridge and another twisty climb out of the valley. with panoramic views to the valleys colored by sunset.

A left turn then quick right took us on into Mulbring and then onto Richmond Vale Rd then George Booth Drive up over the twisty bits down the other side and across the M1 and onto Wakefield Rd. Getting dark now which created additional challenges following run sheets etc.  Onto Cessnock Rd a left into Wilton Rd it’s starting to rain now. A few twisty curves then on to Wangi Rd down to Morrisett Railway car park. Arrived at Pauly’s Gourmet Kitchen Morrisett and met six additional members for dinner.

We had a private room allocated to our group so we could easily mingle amongst our group.

Orders taken and fabulous pizzas and traditional ala carte meals provided for everyone’s need. After a very enjoyable event we dispersed to make our own way home.

Thankyou to Pauline and Mark for a totally enjoyable Pauly’s twilight dinner run.
