Saturday 29 th October 2022 brought 18 members and guests together for Share the Dignity – Christmas Bag appeal, in support of women in need due to homelessness, domestic violence and general poverty. Our members came together with donations of wonder and necessity for this wonderful cause. But this wasn’t just about putting bags together for charity (which by the way, we did, 37 of them!).
This day was about sourdough baking and later eating!
Fiona Shedden shared her sourdough making and baking prowess and impressed us with the smell, look and taste of this much loved delicacy. While we filled bags and baked, the boys were given a guided tour of the Motor Life Museum at Kembla Grange, organised by Bob Gaunson, including a look at the 19th Century Fiat that Bob has been working on with the Motor Life volunteers for the past year or so.
The evening finished off with a BBQ on the deck, lots of eating, drinking and chatting, even some fireworks toend the evening (not lit by us, viewed across the lake from Shell Cove).
