Supersprint at Wakefield Park
28 August 2017 / Bryan Shedden
The Mini Car Club of NSW is hosting Round 6 of the CAMS NSW Supersprint Championship at Wakefield Park. As of yesterday there was only 35 entries for the supersprint in less than two weeks time on Saturday 9th September. Entry in the supersprint is open to all CAMS-affiliated car club members ... including those of the MX-5 Club of NSW. You do not need to be a championship entrant to participate in this supersprint. Our next club track day is not until November, so if you're keen for a run before then, this is a perfect opportunity for you!
Just in case you're not aware, the Championship is made up of a number of rounds with each Round being run by an individual CAMS affiliated car club. For a number of years that has been the Australian Racing Drivers Club (ARDC), New South Wales Road Racing Club (NSWRRC), the Mazda MX-5 Club of NSW and the Mini Car Club of NSW. Apart from organising the day, the individual clubs bear the financial burden of running the round. Without competitors, the days are run at a loss, which Clubs cannot afford to do.
Let's show our support for the Supersprint Championship and Mini Car Club by helping them fill the grid.
