SEVEN CARS LEFT KURRAJONG VILLAGE AT 8.30 , WEATHER WAS JUST PERFECT FOR THE TOPS DOWN, WE TRAVELLED ALONG COMMEROY ROAD THROUGH TO THE PUTTY. REASONABLE RUN UP THE PUTTY BAR A SLOW LANDROVER WHO EVENTUALLY PULLED OVER, WE STOPPED AT THE GREY GUMS FOR COFFEE AND COMFORT STOP. PROCEEDED ON OUR WAY WITH ANOTHER SHORT STOP AT BULGA AS WE WAITED FOR OTHER CARS TO CATCH UP AFTER ONE HAD TO PULL UP WITH SEAT BELT ISSUES, ONCE WE WERE ALL TOGETHER AGAIN AND WE LET THE MUSTANG CLUB GO OFF WE THEN PROCEEDED TO DENMAN FOR A HEARTY LUNCH AT THE DENMAN HOTEL. TIME FOR A WALK AROUND THE SHOPS BEFORE OFF AGAIN TO SCONE VIA MERRIWA VIA THE FLOWING SCONE ROAD, GETTING INTO SCONE AROUND 3.30 WE BOOKED INTO AIRLEE HOUSE MOTEL AND THEN TRUE TO RPM TRADITION WE HAD PRE DINNER DRINKS AND SNACKS. SCONE RSL FOR DINNER WITH A CHOICE OF AUSTRALIAN ,CHINESE OR PIZZAS AND WITH THE FOOTY ON THE BIG SCREEN ENJOYABLE EVENING HAD BY ALL.
SUNDAY
BREAKFAST WAS TO EVERYBODY'S OWN AND THEN WE MEET AT THE HUNTER WARBIRDS MUSEUM FOR A LOOK AT THE GREAT AIRCRAFT ON DISPLAY WHICH IS ONLY 18 MONTHS OLD AND THEY ARE GOING TO BE BUILDING ANOTHER HANGER SHORTLY TO HOUSE MORE PLANES, A COUPLE OF THE LADIES OPTING FOR A WALK AROUND THE LOCAL MARKETS INSTEAD. AROUND 11.00 WE HEADED OFF VIA THE GUNDY RD PASSING GLENBRAWN DAM AND THE HORSE STUDS ARRIVING IN ABERDENN THEN TRAVELLING ONTO MUSSELBROOK FOR OUR LUNCH AT THE HUNTER BELLE CHEESE CAFE WHERE ONCE AGAIN GREAT FOOD AND CONVERSATION WAS TO BE HAD. LUNCH WAS DONE AND PEOPLE HEADED IN DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS HOME OR WERE STAYING ON THE HUNTER . WITH THE ROOFS UP THOU AS WE ENCOUNTERED RAIN FOR THOSE OF US THAT VENTURED HOME VIA THE PUTTY ROAD WITH ANOTHER STOP AT THE GREY GUMS FOR COFFEE AND CAKE. SOME 600 KMS COVERED ON FOR THE MOST PART GOOD FLOWING ROADS THAT WERE MADE FOR MX5's
