Tulip Time in Bowral
28 September 2019

Oh what a beautiful morning
Oh what a beautiful day
15 Illawarra members are going
To visit the tulip display
We met in Hungry Jacks car park
To discuss our run for the day
As Macquarie Pass had been closed off
We headed down Jamberoo way
We travelled the long winding roadway
With twists and turns galore
And at the top of the mountain
Turned left toward Robertson town
Through the village then right toward Kangaloon
Right, then left to Tourist Rd
Range Rd then South Rd to Merrigang Rd
Bowral now not far away
Turning left into Bendooley St
Corbett Gardens are on the right
We parked and met at the entrance
Oh what a beautiful sight
Thousands of tulips to greet us
Yellows, reds, purple and more
As we wondered around to the wonderful sound
Of school bands playing some tunes
Then re-grouping we headed for lunch
At the Mittagong RSL
Great company, conversation and laughter
Before long we were all homeward bound
Oh what a beautiful morning
Oh what a beautiful day
Thank you to all the members
Who joined us on our run today
