Cataract Dam All Chapter Picnic
Come along and celebrate all things Aussie at the Cataract Dam Picnic Area.
Rod Nicholas will lead the Canberra contingent to this Club (all-chapter) event. Cataract Dam is part of the Upper Nepean Scheme, supplying water to the Macarthur and Illawarra regions. It is located near Appin. Our route will visit Bundanoon and travel the old Hume Highway so we can get off the Hume Boreway.
Bring a picnic lunch, chairs or picnic rug, BBQs available. Join members from other chapters for a day of fun at Cataract Dam.

The run to Cataract Dam is about 235 km, plus around the same for return.
Run Grade: This is a ‘long’ run, suitable for all drivers. It includes some country roads in generally good condition, although there may be some potholes to avoid, and some 110km/hr highways over a variety of terrains. The first stage to our first stop (Bungendore to Bundanoon) will be about 1:30 hours (145 kms). The second stage is shorter, but will probably take about 1:30 hours anyway.
