Let's go searching for whales as we cruise down the coastal roads of the central coast!

Meeting at Morrisett McDonald's at 9:00am for a 10:00am leave, enjoy a leisurely drive stopping at multiple viewing points along the way. As always we try to keep the group together on runs, but due to the many intersections and give-ways to be encountered along the way meaning a possiblility of the group getting split, this will be a way point run.

Please be aware that this is a "Waypoint" run. What is a way point run?

Each participant in a waypoint event drives as an individual to a destination on a route and manner of their choice. There is no obligation to drive in a bunch nor is there any prohibition of the informal formation of small bunches.
A GPS or phone navigation is advised should you be separated. If there are 2 or more vehicles together, use your radios to direct each other or allow the driver behind you to overtake to lead your small group if you are unsure.

  • We set off as a group but if we become separated into smaller groups by traffic lights/intersections etc, the run continues on and regroups at the next way point stop.
  • No stops along the route for regrouping as there aren't many safe opportunities.
  • The run is short sections with a car park and an activity at each stop.
  • Each stop has a waypoint that can be put into the car's GPS or a Smart phone map to allow anyone delayed (never lost) to meet the group at the next stop.
  • This also caters for the single driver who is not able to read the run instruction sheet.
  • Have morning tea at the meeting point

Below is the Google Map links of each way point stop for your reference, please familiarise yourself with the route before the day and save these links should you need to refer to them on the day: (Bring a GPS or phone navigation in case you need it)
