Club Driver Training Day

Originally, this event was to be a driver training day.
Unfortunately, with COVID-19 restrictions, it is not going to be possible to run a normal Driver Training Day as we cannot put advisors in the car with first timers. Various options were considered for retaining the event as a Driver Training Day, but these options were not considered viable, so no advisors. The 1 hour introduction to improved driving hosted by Brian Shedden will also not run as this is impractical with social distancing rules.
Rather than just cancel the event, the committee decided that the best course of action was to run the day as an un-timed practice day. The day is open to drivers with some experience (be it at Pheasant Wood or another circuit). Sorry but we cannot accept first timers or juniors at this event.
Entry Requirements.
Event is open to members who have previously attended a track day or who have previously attended a Driver Training Day. (If you don't meet this requirement please email drivertraining@mx5.com.au)
There will be no timing.
There will be no scrutineering. You will have to ensure that your vehicle is ready – as per a driver training day.
Registration will be done as far as possible via email before the event (e.g. licences), although we will collect disclaimer forms on the day.
Licences – as per a driver training day – a Motorsport Australia L2S licence or better; a AASA Club licence; or a Pheasant Wood licence. If you need a Pheasant Wood licence, please call (02) 4841 1422 and talk to Scott. He will walk you through obtaining one of their licences.
Groups will be organised according to previous nominated lap time or experience.
We won’t run a juniors group for this event.
Entry Fee $150 for everyone.
