The MX-5 Club hasn't run a hillclimb since 2018, but as a result of continuing requests, we will put one on in 2022.
This hillclimb day is designed for drivers that have little or no experience in this type of event, who either would like to try out a new discipline, or are yearning to fill the gaps in their motorsport calendar.
The hillclimb is being held at Ringwood Park Motorsport Complex, which is approximately 20 minutes north of the Newcastle end of the M1 Motorway.
As this event will be run under a Motorsport Australia permit, club members will need to hold a Motorsport Australia (MSA) Speed or Junior Speed Licence or better licence.
You do not need to be a member of the MX-5 Club of NSW to enter the event, and you don't have to be driving an MX-5.
You will be welcomed regardless.
If you don't have a MSA licence, you can complete a L1 Day licence application - see link below.
If you aren't a member of the MX-5 Club of NSW and aren't a member of any other MSA-affiliated club, you must complete a 1 day club membership application (see link below) and send the scanned form to the event secretary.
You must be a member of a MSA-affiliated car club to compete in this event..
Important note:
For this event, entry is via a new event entry system that the Club is trialling.
Pick the ticket type that applies to you, and select the number of tickets needed (maximum of 2 though).
Then complete the form that appears at the bottom of this page.

As it says in the entry form below, you will need to print the Motorsport Australia disclaimer, complete the form, scan it and email it to the Event Secretary at least one week prior to the date of the event. This is required for each entrant.
To complete your entry, you must:
- Select the tickets you wish to purchase and complete the forms for each competitor.
- Acknowledge the Supplementary Regulations and the Motorsport Australia disclaimer by selecting the radio button for each.
- Fill in your credit card details
- Click "Register" A payment receipt will be sent by email.
L1 licences - if you need an L1 licence, download the L1 licence application form (link below), fill in your details, but don't fill in your credit card details, and don't send it to Motorsport Australia.
Instead, send the scanned L1 licence application to the event secretary and do a direct deposit of the $25 fee to the MX-5 Club bank account :
