Bring your beanies and long johns, we’re off to the beautiful Central Tablelands for a late autumn meander.

This will be our second attempt at this run, which was unfortunately cancelled when the plague once again took hold last year. We hope to adopt the same itinerary this time around, which should see us attempt the following:

  • first stop, “The Murals of Eugowra”, 32 in total, with a lazy lunch at The Fat Parcel
  • then head to the historic town of Canowindra, for our first overnight stay and dinner at Montrose House which will already be dressed to celebrate Christmas in July.
  • on day two, after breakfast, it’s time to explore the shops before driving to Millthorpe via Mandurama and Blayney
  • we’ll take lunch in Millthorpe at The Old Mill followed by an afternoon of delight shopping in this charming little village. After squeezing all our purchases into the spacious(!) boots, we’re off to Bathurst for an overnight stay at Rydges on Mt Panorama
  • if we get up early enough there should be an opportunity for a lap or two around “The Mountain” (at an appropriate 60 kph) and a visit to the motor racing museum. Then we’re off to Oberon for lunch and a wander around Mayfield Garden as it dresses for winter.
  • following an overnight stay in Oberon, we will head homeward after a leisurely breakfast.

The accommodation component should cost about $420 per couple/single, but this will be confirmed soon.

Stay tuned for further information as we settle the details.

This run has strictly limited capacity due to accommodation requirements.  THIS RUN IS NOW FULLY SUBSCRIBED!

In the meantime, please register with James & Giulia Schiemer by email at jimmy4jewels@gmail.com.

Run Grade: This is a ‘hard’ run, suitable for experienced drivers. It features some country roads in generally good condition, although there may be some potholes to avoid, and some 100km/hr highways over a variety of terrains. The Club’s Grading System is described at https://nsw.mx5.com.au/events/important-information/run-gradings.
