Gorgeous Gorges Run
We depart Hungry Jack's Haywards Bay and wind up through Mt Kembla then on towards Picton. From there we head up Barker's Lodge Rd towards Oakdale and stop at the picnic area at the lookout over Lake Burragorang. Morning tea to be had here - BYO morning tea, or pick up in Oakdale.
After enjoying the views over 'gorge 1' - Burragorang Valley, we head to Douglas Park, down to 'gorge 2,' over the causeway then over to Appin via 'gorge 3,' - Broughton Pass.
From Appin we head to Bald Hill Headland Reserve where we can admire the view or watch the hanglider people do their thing. Gelato is an option too! We then head down 'gorge 4' to Austi Beach Cafe Restaurant for a tasty lunch.
Lots of lovely scenery, good company, easy driving, shopping can even be done on the way home at the 'boutique' shops between Austinmer and Corrimal.
