Illawarra Dinner Meeting
Our next dinner meeting is on this coming Thursday 1 May at Figgy Bowlo, 120, The Avenue, Figtree.
In addition to the usual agenda items Phil would like to announce a special dinner guest speaker.
Peter McLeod best known as co-winner with Peter Brock of 1987 James Hardie 1000 at Bathurst .
He has scored podium results behind Alan Moffat's RX7 in his Slick 50 RX7. He drove at Daytona 24 Hour with Alan Moffat , Kevin Bartlett & Greg Hansford, in an RX7 until mechanical failure near the end of the race. They were classified 24th behind the winning Porsche 965.
This is a small snippet of Peter's escapades in a long history of motor racing.
