It’s a long way to Bungendore.
If you want a sausage roll...!
Starting at the Gladstone St carpark Hall (pre-caffinated if required), we’ll head out onto the Barton Highway before making a turn onto the recently improved Nanima Road. A regular stop, The Merino Cafe in Gunning will be sure to satisfy your morning tea needs or you could try The Old Hume Highway Cafe. A little quieter and serving a rather vivid green mint slice, just ask Rhys!
Once on the move again we’ll continue along the main street and head for the Hume Highway via Breadalbane (when pronouncing drop the last ‘e’). Slightly tricky intersection with the Hume as you will need to merge with traffic doing 110km/h, so make sure it is safe to pull out before you do so.
Exiting at Goulburn we’ll do a right at the roundabout and then do a dog leg or two to get us on to Windellama Road. Looking to the right you’ll see Goulburn airport, yes they have one, not much smaller than Canberra’s! Eventually we’ll get to Tarago and then onto Bungendore.
The Royal has recently been renovated and offers a fine selection of food and beverages. A finalist in the AHA NSW 2024 Awards for Excellence.
After dining at The Royal it’s a short walk to the Woodworks Gallery, the leather shop or any of the other interesting places Bungendore has to offer.
Find your own way home.
