Just Because We Can Run 2025.
We don’t need to have a reason to get out and enjoy our friends’ company, along with the thrill of driving our great cars. So, just because we can, come and join us on a run to a venue that has good food and the best view you could wish for.
Our run will start at Ratha’s Place, a great little café in Oak Flats that operates to provide training and employment opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It is well-run and supervised, and on our last visit, it did not disappoint. The usual coffee, tea, and cakes, along with egg and bacon rolls, will be available. There are toilet facilities on-site, and there is plenty of street parking available out the front.
Then, join us for a drive down to the Boat Fisherman’s Club in Gerroa on some roads often travelled and others not so often travelled. You won’t be disappointed with the route, which includes some quicker sections and some winding sections. The run grade is "Cruiser", is about sixty kilometers long, and takes approximately one hour and fifteen minutes to complete. We will drive through some pretty countryside, but there are no dirt roads on this route. We have taken a run on this route before and received lots of positive feedback.
Our destination, the Boat Fisherman’s Club, overlooks Seven Mile Beach at Gerroa—a venue known to many of you. The view is fabulous, the staff are helpful, and the menu should cater to everyone’s tastes. Parking is plentiful.
