Sydney Vintage Car Restorations is a family owned and operated business catering for vintage veteran and classic motor car restoration. Their services include complete restoration work, complete body construction, motor mechanics, spray painting and vehicle modifications. They work on all sorts of old cars, including Aston Martin, Buick, Triumph, Chevrolet, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Jaguar, MG and Sunbeam to name only a handful of the recent projects.
Join us for a tour of the facilities in which you will see the purpose built factory with antique machinery and also some demonstrations of this dieing trade. There is so many ways of hand forming panels using these machines. Each of the machines has there own way to shape, shrink, stretch, fold, cut and machine car parts and panels into their desired shapes. The Coach Building Shop is where the building and repair work on all restorations is done, and it contains several welders, hand tools and power tools. The Spray Booth is a positive pressure unit with baking functions.
Lunch will be served in the Function Room with a generous country-style hot meal provided by our hosts. Just the thing for the middle of winter at the coldest and windiest place in NSW! The total cost for the tour and lunch is $40 per person.
