Join us for a three-day excursion to the beautiful Bega Valley, visiting historic townships, craft works, wineries and coastal beaches.
The first day will be a run down the South Coast and up into the Bega Valley. We will be stopping along the way for coffee and lunch will be in the old historic town of Candelo http://www.candelogeneralstore.com.au/latest-news where you will have the chance for an exploratory walk around the town.
We will be staying overnight in Merimbula at the Hilcrest Motel. We have rooms reserved at the Hillcrest, a renovated motel perched on a hill boasting views across the waterways of Merimbula. We have two dinners in Merimbula but something light might be in order after our day 2 lunch. There are a number of options for dinner in Merimbula including the well-known Wheelers. https://www.wheelersoysters.com.au/. A BBQ at the motel is also an option.
After breakfast on day 2 we will visit Bermagui Mudworks https://www.bermaguimudworks.com.au/ before moving on to lunch at Mimosa Winery. https://www.mimosawines.com.au/
Given enough time and interest we might make a stop at Longstocking Brewery https://www.facebook.com/longstockingbrewery on the way home.
After breakfast on day 3 we will return along the coast road with morning tea at Tathra and lunch at Tilba Winery. https://www.tilbavalley.com.au/
The return journey to Milton will be about two hours.
