Mid Week Mt Victoria Run
An easy “C” graded midweek run for all members including those from the RPM Chapter with the time to enjoy a pleasant drive in good company to a SMH Food Guide Award pub, the Imperial Hotel in Mt Victoria from Richmond. The run opens with a 30km climb up Bellbird Hill to Bilpin on the Bell Line of Road for morning tea at the Apple Bar in Bilpin. After a refreshment break the run will continue along the BLOR for up to another 35km then turn left at Bell into the Darling Causeway for a short run over the Darling Causeway to the Imperial Hotel situated on the corner of The Great Western Highway.
Lunch
The Imperial Hotel has open log fires in its public areas and dining room offering a variety of snacks and meals for the weary traveller ranging from $7.00 snack food to reasonably priced mains between $16.00 & $18.00. Return Run
A decision will be made at lunch on which way the run should return. The options are 100km drive back to Richmond through Lithgow on the BLOR: retracing your steps back down the Darling Causeway and the BLOR to Richmond; or through the Blue Mountains on the Great Western Highway.
