NotMeet 2025
The run will officially kick off from McDonald's Thornton (Thornton Rd) at 8:30am on Good Friday.
Our accommodation in Glen Innes is at our spiritual home, the New England Motor Lodge. The owners are eager to look after us in the excellent fashion which we have become accustomed to. Thirty rooms have been reserved.
Considering feedback from the member survey, plus the increased staff costs over the Easter period, the format of the weekend has had a slight revamp. Group dinners will only be held on the Friday and Sunday nights, with Saturday night becoming a “do your own thing” evening. The motel will not be providing a breakfast service. Rooms are equipped with kettle, toaster and microwave, or you may avail yourself of one of the local eateries.
Friday, we travel from the Hunter to our weekend venue of Glen Innes. We meet up with our Queensland friends for our traditional carpark happy hour, then a group dinner in the restaurant.
Saturday, we do a longer drive (approximately 300km) on some of the roads of the New England, taking in the wonderful autumn scenery. We will have a group lunch at our destination. As previously mentioned, dinner is at your leisure.
Sunday, we will do a shorter run (approximately 200km), again with a group lunch. A group dinner will be at the motel and feature the Inter State Turtle Racing Competition.
On Monday we return to the Hunter Region. Alternatively, you are welcome to make your own arrangements.
