NSW 6 Hour Regularity Relay
The 5th running of the NSW 6 Hour will be a unique day/night event on the Grand Prix circuit at Sydney Motorsport Park. Stewart Temesvary is coordinating entries for our Club, and the Club has fielded 10 teams in total. More than 1 in 4 cars on the track will be MX-5 Club of NSW members.
The event will consist of about 5 hours of practice (from about 9am to 2pm) followed by 6 hours of the relay competition from about 4pm to 10pm. This means that the total track time for the team is only about 1 hour less than previous years events over two days (about 15 minutes less per driver in a 4 car team).
Even though the track hire is only for one day rather than two days, the one long day with lights works out about the same as two day track hire, so no significant reduction in entry fee. Team entry fee is likely to be about $2,280 (about $570 each for a four car team). You will also need $40 for numbers for the car. For those who do not have their own Dorian timer there will be an additional cost for the hire.
