Cruise ($49pp) with an overnight stay at Gosford Palms Motor Inn on Thursday night (to be booked by individual club members participating in the run – mention Lena Hill and MX-5 Club when booking – Motor Inn contact number 02 4323 1211).

 

Day 1 - Thursday 21 April 2022

We leave Woonona McDonalds at approximately 9:00am, heading to The Wisemans Ferry Inn / hotel, via where we are  booked for lunch.  Along the way, we stop at Cranebrook McDonalds, cnr Northern Rd, Cranebrook Rd and Londonderry Rd roundabout for morning tea & toilet break.

Woonona to Wiseman's Ferry: approx 146 klms, about 2 hours 28 min.

After lunch, we are heading to Gosford via the ferry crossing, for an overnight stay at The Gosford Palms Motel, 7 Moore St West Gosford. We have reserved rooms, $165 per room. You must book your own room by phoning 02 4323 1211.  Mention Lena and the MX-5 Club. Most rooms are Deluxe Queen or the balance are Queen rooms, so book early you wish to be 'deluxe'! At booking time, ask for a ground floor if you require easier access. 

Wiseman's Ferry to Gosford  approx. 76km, about 1 hour  23minutes

Evening meal either the RSL down the highway, or closer to a motel - The Settlers Tavern, on the highway.

Day 2 - Friday 22 April 2022

In the morning we will be heading for The Riverboat Postman that will ferry us for a 3 hour cruise of the spectacular Hawkesbury River.  You must book the Riverboat Cruise by phoning 0400 600 111.  Alternatively book on line by clicking on this text. If you require gluten free food while on board, please inform them when you book. We will enjoy morning tea and a delicious snacks on board as we sit back and see the grand old Hawkesbury at its lazy best. 

Seniors rate arranged for EVERYBODY at $49.00 p/p.

Leave the Motel around 8:00 a.m. although it is only a half hour drive, we need to be early - 9:00 a.m. at latest as parking can be a problem. We board the ferry and depart at 10:00 a.m.. There is a chance for a nice coffee on the wharf before we board.

 

Upon the ferry's return you are free to choose your route home - some will start with a twisty run up the old Pacific Highway, others will choose to head straight to the freeway.  After that the easiest way is M2 - M7 - M31 - B88 (Picton Rd) and M1.
