“Sliq Run” up the Putty Road
CAMS Permit No.219/2001/05
The “Sliq Run” up the Putty Road, the annual opening event for the Breakfast Club. Held for Club members driving at their own pace; who, relish an opportunity for an early run up what is the best MX-5 road within 200km’s of the CBD. An ideal waypoint route with only two changes of direction, both right hand turns, over a distance of 194kms.
The run leaves McDonald’s Windsor at McGraths Hill at 7.00am sharp to minimise the irritation of traffic and maximise the joy of driving up the Putty Road heading north for the Hunter Valley. The route naturally includes the awesome 13km run through the gorges before breaking out into the farmlands before the turnoff at Milbrodale.
We will take Milbrodale Road across to the Broke General Store & Servo for a convenience break; before heading south to twist and turn our way through farms and forest on Paynes Crossing Road to the historic village of Wollombi for breakfast, banter and a general goodtime with the BreakFast Club.
