Join the group for an enjoyable and scenic weekend drive along the south coast. We will travel via Batemans Bay, Bermagui and Merimbula and home via Bombala and Cooma on the Sunday.

Don’t forget to bring your binoculars for some whale watching at Bermagui, Tathra and Eden.

The Fairway Motor Inn, Merimbula, 180 Arthur Kaine Drive, Merimbula, ph 6495 6000, email info@fairwaymotorinn.com.au   website www.bestwestern.com.au/fairway    $169 for a deluxe room and $189 for superior, with a 5% discount for seniors.

Note:  It is recommended that we all try to book in to this motel, as dinner will be across the road at the Pambula-Merimbula Golf Club on the Saturday night. The rooms are spacious and have a kitchenette. The motel is set back from the road and parking is in front of the units.

Alternatively, the Black Dolphin Motor Inn is approx. 1 km back towards Merimbula on the same road. Rooms are $100 for a standard motel unit.

Details of the Run

Saturday: Meet at 0800 for a 0815 start from Blamey Square at Russell

Travel via Queanbeyan, Kings Highway to Batemans Bay

Morning tea at Malua Bay, Lunch at Bermagui  (own arrangements, several options in town or bring a picnic). Coast road to Tathra and on to Merimbula, Dinner at the Pambula-Merimbula Golf club (booked)

Sunday: Book out of motel for an 8.20 start. Drive to Eden for a spot of whale watching at the lookout

On to Boydtown for morning tea and a photo opportunity at the lovely Seahorse Inn

Note: a $9 per head morning tea of coffee/tea and scones has been arranged at the Seahorse Inn. (Please advise us of any allergies or dietary requirements, as the chef can oblige)

Leave the coast for a drive through the South East Forest on the Imlay Road through Bombala and on to Cooma
