They say that good things come in threes.
Salt, Tequila & Lemon.
Smith, Slater & Cronk.
Bancroft, Warner & Smith........
Anyway......
Throughout the year, aside from the monthly BreakFast Club runs that feature good roads, cars & company, there are three events that truly encapsulate the very soul of the BreakFast Club. The Brass Monkey and The Iceberg both preceed the jewel in the crown that is the legendary MX500.
Leaving Windsor early enough to out fox the motorcyclists, our run up the Putty Rd will see us head north west for a takeaway breakfast at Denman from one of its delightful cafes in the main street. Participants are encouraged to bring along a fold out chair for a casual breakfast in an open space if they wish. A sleepy, outer Hunter village, Denman is loaded with friendly locals who always stop us for a chat.
Taking Yarrawa Rd (including a 500m dirt section) to the Bylong Valley Way, we will continue to the Bylong General Store for a brief stop. You are encouraged to make a small purchase here to ensure its continued survival.
Continuing on the breathtaking Bylong Valley Way, we will make a fuel stop in Kandos where 98RON is available. From here, it's onwards to Sofala for a short stop amongst its diminutive cottages and sheds. The leisurely run into Bathurst will lead into lunch at a venue of the participants choice (at an appropriate physical distance naturally). From here, you have a choice to return to Sydney via the highway or to join the run leader on a more scenic route through O'Connell, Tarana and Sodwalls, joining the highway at Bowenfels.
Just in time for some stunning spring scenery, this is an event not to be missed.
Please note that this is a waypoint run and is graded XH. Waypoints will be shared with the participants at the drivers briefing on the morning of the event prior to departure. Participants should familiarise themselves with the waypoint guidelines and the run grading criteria before attending. More information can be found here:
