UNFORTUNATELY, THIS RUN IS COVID-CANCELLED.

Ron was going to take us to Tathra - a thriving community on the NSW Sapphire Coast that makes for a wonderful seaside escape. There's more here to do than you can poke a stick at, but unfortunately, this darn Plague has forced us to COVID CANCEL the run.

We will try to reschedule the run for next year.

There's more here to do than you can poke a stick at. Swim at the beaches, walk the dunes, explore the oldest deep-water timber wharf on Australia’s East Coast, taste freshly shucked oysters grown in pristine waters, take a walk through the national parks.

The iconic centrepiece of the town is the heritage-listed Tathra Wharf, which opened in 1862 for steam ships transporting people and goods along the South Coast. The timber structure houses the fascinating Tathra Maritime Museum, which touches on the town's connection to the sea, as well as the Wharf Local Coffee Bar & Gallery.

For something just a little different, you could sample the brews from the Humpback Brewery, located in the former pokies room of the historic Tathra Hotel. (That's my choice!)

The Tathra Hotel (web: https://tathrahotel.com.au Phone: 02 6494 1101) is no longer holding several rooms for us but there are still rooms available - call them and don't forget to mention you are part of the MX-5 Club, Canberra.  They will want a 50% deposit on booking. There is other accommodation available in Tathra if you would prefer elsewhere.

Please make your reservations directly with the hotel, and let Ron know when you have booked.

Unfortunately, this darn Plague has forced us to COVID CANCEL the run.
