Wee Jasper Distillery Run
After tootling though the countryside, Rod and Maryanne will lead us to the Wee Jasper Distillery for a taste test of their locally made gins and vodkas. It’s a beautiful site, and the trip in offers some interesting twisties to excite the drivers (and maybe the navigators too).
The scenery is gorgeous and green, the crew at the distillery are a lovely bunch, and the bottled goodies are indeed quite good.
You can check them out on their website (Wee Jasper Distillery) or their Facebook page.
The plan is to meet at Denman Prospect shops, grab a coffee, and head out along Mountain Creek and Wee Jasper Roads. Light food is available at the Distillery (grazing boards, toasties, sandwiches etc – see the menu on their website). After lunch, assuming you want to leave, we will head into Yass, where there is an opportunity to poke around the town a bit or have another coffee before heading home.
RSVP to Rod Nicholas at rod_nicholas@yahoo.com by 6 September.
Run Grade: This is a ‘hard’ run, suitable for confident drivers. It features narrow country roads that may have rough edges and some potholes to avoid. The roads are in general good condition, but some sections are tight and winding and may be challenging for some drivers. The Club’s Grading System is described at https://nsw.mx5.com.au/events/important-information/run-gradings.
