The Council of ACT Motor Club’s annual autumn Wheels Car & Bike Show will be the 44th Wheels event. This is the largest annual regional display of heritage motoring by local and regional motoring enthusiasts. Wheels brings together veteran, vintage, historic, classic, and modified cars and bikes as well as modern and electric vehicles from across the region.
Many of you will be aware of changes made by the Council of ACT Motor Clubs to the organisation of Wheels for 2025.
A fee will now be charged to enter: $5 in advance or $10 at the gate per car. Also, space will not be reserved in advance for car clubs. Clubs will need to enter the showground as a group to be able to park together.
In response to these changes, I have obtained 16 tickets at $5 each. I would like members who wish to attend Wheels as the Canberra MX5 Club to meet at the QPRC (Qbn Council) offices off Ellerton Drive. We will meet up from 08:45 – 9:05 on the Sunday. Bring $5 and I’ll provide tickets. We will leave at 9:05 am and it’s a fairly straight convoy to the Qbn Showground main entrance off Glebe Avenue.
An area in the back corner near Farrer Place has been allocated for Japanese vehicles. If enough of us convoy together we should be able to reserve some space for later members. All cars must be in place by 10am and may not leave until 1:30- 2:00pm. I will bring the club banner and gazebo.
It would be helpful if you let me know in advance that you are attending. Also, we need to provide 1 or 2 members to volunteer as a marshal on the day. Please let me know.
