Wollongong Botanic Garden visit.
This event is limited to 20 members, no visitors.
We may be meeting at Mount Keira lookout but our run will not just be down the hill to the Wollongong Botanic Garden, which would be too simple and boring. The plan is to head north along the Old Princes Highway to Bald Hill at Stanwell Tops. This is the northern end of our Regional Boundary. It will be our BYO morning tea spot, there, or in a park in Stanwell Park if it’s windy or crowded.
After morning tea we’ll head along the coast over the Sea Cliff Bridge to Wollongong and the Botanic Garden. Here we can have BYO lunch and tour the garden as we please. There will be members with us that are familiar with the garden and many varieties of plants on show.
To do our best to keep us all safe you should plan to bring all you need for the day with you. Morning tea, lunch and a thermos. There will be no takeaway outlets at our stops. Picnic chairs or a blanket would be good just in case we need to distance from others. Toilets will be available at each location.
Use the Wollongong Botanic Gardens Visit Google Form to register your attendance and a conformation email will be sent to you together with the run notes for you to print off.
RSVP - By Monday 28th September.
