This is the run of choice for those who want to add a splash of colour to their Sunday morning MX-5 run fare in the last month of summer. The BreakFast Club‘s February themed What Terrific Fancy-dress Are You Wearing to Berry run should tick the boxes for you regardless of whether you’re wearing your favourite team shirt, full strip even its cap or your preferred driving clobber.  It’s an easy waypoint run for you to do your own thing and drive at your own pace with dressing up preferred but optional.

This annual fun run was first held in 2009 and in accordance with tradition starts early at Macca’s at Heathcote and ends in Berry, hail, rain or shine for a slap up breakfast that will allow you to get back home for Sunday lunch or enjoy what’s on offer in the Shoalhaven and Kiama regions.

A colourful and spirited 175km route to brunch starting with drive down the Old Princes Highway to Picton Road (B88) for the run past Mt Keira heading for the four star fun of Harry Graham Road to Mt Kembla then down to Five Islands Road for the M1.   We will leave the M1 to run through the dairy farms along Marshall Mount Road heading for Jamberoo to climb up Jamberoo Pass to the Robertson Pie Shop for a convenience break.

From Robertson we will take the scenic Pearson’s Lane for the Nowra Road (B73) then drop down the escarpment to Kangaroo Valley.  Instead of the usual roads over Berry and Cambewarra Mountains fout of Kangaroo Valley we will take a road less visited, the Wattamolla Road, on a loop around those mountains to enter Berry from the north at around 10.00am.

After breakfast chose your own route or join other members as they head back home or visit places of interest in and around Berry for the rest of the day.
