Burn to Berrima

24 April 2024 / Rose and Geoff Smith

Five of us enjoyed the ‘Burn to Berrima’ run today. Rose and Geoff left United Petroleum, Tomerong solo for the run up to the Cambewarra Mountain Lookout where they were met by Leann, Paul and Tony. The view from Cambewarra lookout was spectacular; however, we were all more interested in watching the wombat grazing near the cafe. It was a mostly clear run from here to Berrima allowing our MX5 drivers to test their skills on the windy backroads, while enjoying the autumn colours and scenery along the way. We took a slightly longer route via Exeter and the old Hume Hwy on our way to Berrima. The ability to hold your breath was tested as we drove past a couple of dairies.  Lunch at the Surveyor General Pub in Berrima was generous and tasty…... another great day out with our MX5 friends.
