Canberra Chapter Movie and Dinner Outing

On Friday, 20 November the MX5 Club of NSW - Canberra Chapter Social Committee organised another dinner and movie outing for members and friends. Nine members gathered for a lovely, relaxed Italian dinner at Jamie’s Italian on a gorgeous, warm Canberra spring evening. We were joined prior to the movie by Ken and Diana, who had suggested Jamie’s as a venue.

The James Bond movie, Spectre, was everything we’ve come to expect and love from the franchise. From the spectacular opening sequence, to the incredible chase sequences, gorgeous cars, beautiful women, and, of course, the denouement between James Bond and the brilliant, but tragically flawed, Ernst Stavro Blofeld, the movie delivered it all. At the end of the movie, we were assured that ‘James Bond will return’, no doubt to lock horns and triumph over Spectre (Special Executive for counter intelligence. Terrorism, Revenge, and Extortion) once again.

We all had a wonderful time, and drove home just a little faster and taking the corners just a little harder, than usual.
