MEMBER ADVICE OF MAZDA MX-5 CLUB of NSW COVID-19 REQUIREMENTS

 AS OF 11:59 PM 03/01/2021

 

Members are ALWAYS responsible for themselves.

ALL MEMBERS must REFER TO AND COMPLY WITH

the current Public Health Orders or Directions in NSW and the ACT.

 

Club Procedures:

 

  1.       NSW Public Health Orders effective from 27th December 2021.
  2.       ACT Public Health Direction effective from 30th December 2021.

 

These COVID-19 procedures supersede all earlier notices.

 

COVID-19 procedures apply to all Members & Guests

with fully vaccinated or medical exemption certificates and all Un-vaccinated persons.

 

All participants in Club Events listed on the website; both indoor and outdoor, must register using the Google Forms System, or RSVP, set up for that event.

 

NSW

 COVID-19 Safe QR Check-in is Mandatory

 Masks

 All people over the age of 12 must wear a face mask:

 in indoor areas (e.g., while shopping, when at a library) 

  • in indoor areas of common property of apartment buildings 
  • at a public transport waiting area  
  • while on public transport (including in taxis and rideshare services)
  • if you are working at a hospitality venue and dealing directly with members of the public 
  • on an aircraft when the aircraft is flying above NSW and in the airport.

 Masks are strongly encouraged in settings where you cannot physically distance.

COVID-19 Safe QR check-ins or provide their contact details

 Occupiers of premises are required to continue to take reasonable steps to ensure people can check-in or provide their contact details when they enter these premises.

 If you are entering a premises where check-in is required, you must:

  • check in with the Service NSW app
  • provide your details to the occupier of the premises.

 Vaccination evidence

 Most premises in NSW are now open to everyone, regardless of whether you are fully vaccinated or not.

You no longer need to show evidence that you are fully vaccinated at most premises.

However, you still need to show evidence that you are fully vaccinate

 Occupiers of premises

 Some premises may choose to require people to be fully vaccinated or to wear a mask as a condition of entry.

It is a matter for the occupier of each premises to exercise judgement on what is appropriate for their premises and the well-being of their staff and customers. 

If you want to enter premises where an occupier has chosen to require you to be fully vaccinated, the occupier may ask to see your vaccination evidence. You do not have to show the occupier your vaccination evidence, but if you do not, the occupier may not let you in.

 Restaurants and hospitality

 Restaurants, cafes and hospitality venues in NSW are open.

 Anyone can visit a restaurant, cafe, and hospitality venue. 

  • You are not required to be fully vaccinated or carry vaccination evidence.
  • Until 27 December COVID-19 Safe Check-in is not required (except at pubs, small bars, registered clubs).
  • From 27 December COVID-19 Safe Check-in is required at all hospitality venues.
  • Face masks are required, subject to exemptions from 24 December 2021.

 NSW Health strongly advices that patrons consider being seated while drinking and exercise caution in singing and dancing.

Density limits apply at indoor areas of hospitality venues and nightclubs.

Drinking indoors and outdoors may be seated or standing and singing and dancing can take place.

Examples of hospitality premises include casinos, restaurants, cafes, function centres, food courts, take away food and drink premises, kiosks, micro-breweries or small distilleries, cellar doors, pubs, registered clubs, small bars and nightclubs.

 Travel and transport

 You are able to travel anywhere within NSW. 

If you have recently arrived from overseas, follow the rules for international arrivals.

You can travel in a vehicle with people you do not live with. 

You can travel in a vessel with people you do not live with.

 ACT

 QR Code Check-in is Mandatory within the ACT at all times.

 Face coverings / masks

 Any person aged 12 years or older must wear a face mask in indoor settings (other than a place of residence).

  • A person is not required to wear a face mask if they have a physical or mental health illness or condition, or disability, which makes wearing a face mask detrimental to their condition.

 Interstate travel

 There are currently no restrictions on interstate travel to the ACT, except for people who are close contacts.

  • Travellers who are not close contacts:
    • are not required to seek an exemption to travel to the ACT from another jurisdiction
    • do not have to have proof of a negative COVID-19 test to enter the ACT from another jurisdiction.
  • Travellers who have been declared as a close contact in another jurisdiction must seek an exemption from ACT Health prior to entering the ACT.
    • They may also be required to seek an exemption from the jurisdiction they are in prior to leaving.

 Licensed Venues, Cafes, Restaurants and Food Courts

 25 people across the venue before density limits apply (excluding staff).

  • If businesses wish to have more than 25 people, they can apply:
    • One person per two square metres per usable indoor space (excluding staff).
    • No density limits apply to outdoor spaces.
  • Eating and drinking while standing is permitted.
  • Dancing is permitted.
  • Venues to display a sign at the entrance of each space specifying occupancy limit for any indoor spaces.

 Food Courts

 Can apply one person per two square metres within each indoor space

  • Eating and drinking while standing is permitted.

 Vaccination Certificates / Medical Exemption

 There is no requirement to produce a Vaccination Certificates / Medical Exemption in the ACT under current ACT Public Health Directions. However, you may be required to produce it if it is a condition of entry.

 

Maximum number of people that may attend a safe outdoor gatherings:

Unlimited in the ACT

Motorsport is the exception, as these events come under the regulations of the governing body for the sport including our club’s motorsport procedures.

  •          Only Members & Guests who have registered for the event, may gather at the start point and join the event.
  •          Under no circumstances are any Members or Guests allowed to tag along.
  •          The Organizer will pass the list of Members or Guests to the Membership Secretary for record keeping.
  •          All of the current COVID-19 restrictions in NSW and the ACT must be followed; including social distancing rules.
  •          This means reducing the close physical contact we have with people and staying 1.5 metres away from people we             don't live with.
  •          Or as otherwise directed.
  •          Members must at all times comply with the relevant Public Health Orders / Directions.
  •          All participants are strongly recommended to download the COVID Safe App and NSW & ACT Check-in Apps.
  •          All Members and Guests to carry personal hand sanitiser, masks and disposable gloves.
  •          By sending the Google entry form, participants acknowledge agreement; they will abide by current COVID-19                     procedures and current Club event requirements and regulations.
  •          If any member attending an event, or about to attend an event, shows any signs of COVID-19, cold or flu symptoms           in the previous 14 days, they must leave at once.
  •          They must not attend any events until these symptoms have passed.
  •          Must be negative to COVID-19, prior to participation in future events.
  •          After attending a Club event, any member diagnosed with COVID-19, must, ASAP, notify the Club via the Run                   Leader or Club Captain, members in contact must be advised.

This is critical, considering our members are in, or close to, the age group identified as highest risk.

These Rule Procedures are subject to change.
