Hunter Christmas in the Park

Traditionally the Hunter Chapter do a drive before arriving at a location, but this year with the weather producing afternoon thunder storms all the week leading up the event, we decided to just meet up for our XMAS get together at Speers Point Park in the cool of the late afternoon beside the shores of Lake Macquarie with a close-by alternative.

A great turnout with the weather kind to us we enjoyed a BYO BBQ n Picnic Tea with some refreshments and 13 decorated XMAS themed MX-5s and 22 members and a visitor. Even Kuntry Kuzzin drove down from Tamworth for the afternoon to join us which was fantastic.

Judging was very keenly contested. We asked a visitor "Sharon" who brought along her nice SE to see what happens in the Hunter. John & Gaye Morgan won by a XMAS Bell gap.

Lots of laughs and some XMAS thank yous for the people that made our runs & hard work special in 2014.

In the Hunter it has been a great year and we wish all our friends in the MX-5 Club of NSW a Merry Christmas and a Zoom Zoom New Year in 2015.
