Hunter's 2022 melbourne Cup

Wow what a lovely spring day it was the first Tuesday in November and the day the the nation stops to watch The Melbourne Cup.

This year our Hunter chapter went to Argenton Hotel. 22 members and 4 guest attended for a lovely social gathering.

Sweeps and the TAB were available and he track wasn’t really heavy after all the rain so it open up the field. Horses that were scratched made a few have to change their ideas on who might win.

There was a best dress competition decided by the staff and this was won by our own Linda Janis in a beautiful blue dress. Winning a food voucher and 2 bottles of wine from Hungerford hill the sponsors for the day.

All the ladies looked lovely and some of the also men dressed for the occasion. We took out a few of the sweep prizes but no big winners this year, we will try next November.
