Lunch at the Adelaide Hotel, Moruya

18 July, 2024

Another run down south, to lunch at the Adelaide (Addie) Hotel in Moruya, a new venue for many of us. It was a beautiful sunny but crisp morning for a top's down run down the coast to our lunch destination.

After meeting at the Heritage Bakery in Milton 4 cars with 8 members left to travel to Batemans Bay where we were to meet up with Madhu and Mike on the highway, an unfortunate mix up with times meant that this did not happen as planned. After a couple of frantic phone calls new arrangements were in place to ensure that we all successfully arrived at our destination. A diversion from our normal route through Batemans Bay showed just how much development there has been in the area in recent years which I was unaware of.

Eventually we were all together and it was time to chat and decide what to eat. The meals were huge and enjoyed by all. A surprise, to all except Geoff, was the appearance of Alan from Tilba who has a delightful Russet/Brown/Red coloured NB. He keeps an eye on what events we are having further down south and will hopefully join us again.

All too soon it was time to make our farewells and head home. For some, it was after a look around the shops and partake in some retail therapy. Another great day out organised by Geoff leading the pack in his CX30... next time it will be in his new baby NC.
