It was still dark when I heard movements in the house. I was waiting to do another trip with my owner so it was no surprise to see the two small suitcases appear out of the darkness and my boot was opened. In went all the goodies for a good time.

As usual I started first time and with my new upgrade I could have my roof removed while I was being driven. My owner likes to save time by being on the move when my roof comes down. It was a little chilly, so I was amused when my owner was dressed in warm jacket and scarf.

Then we were off heading down south. We stopped in Haywards Bay and I noticed that there were no other MX-5s in the parking lot. In no time at all 15 or so other cars like me arrived, all the owners happy and smiling and greeting one another.

We were not there long when we formed a long queue and headed out towards Jamberoo. Up the mountain we went and what a thrill that was with all the cars with their roofs down. Soon we arrived at Cambewarra Lookout where some owners had hot drinks and a bit of food. We all lined up in the parking area and all the people took photos of us.

Soon we were on the move again. Heading towards Braidwood, where all the tiny cars like me hide out in a little shop. I thought all the owners would go looking for miniature versions of me but they walked to find food again down the road. So there we sat in the street, waiting for all the people to return. They took ages because they all went for a look at the shops. From there we went on a long hike on the most wonderful smooth roads heading towards Batemans Bay.

What a fantastic stretch of road that was. We could really use all the good engineering bits we have, holding the road around those sweeping bends.

We arrived at the Zorba Motel about 4pm after a wonderful day of driving, then the people all carried chairs and tables from their rooms and made a circle near us as we sat lined up in the car park. More photos and then they were eating and drinking again. Lots of noise came from there as we cars sat in silence. After a few hours they finally moved off to a restaurant so we could have a rest in peace.

The next morning we were re arranged in the car park so that more photos could be taken and more chatting could happen. At about 9am, we finally got moving again, this time heading for Mogo Zoo.

This was not such a long trip but a nice one. We arrived at the zoo about 10am and then sat in the parking area for a couple of hours till the people returned after filling their faces with food again. I could see through the fence that they had been provided with sandwiches and coffee.

We were soon parted, all us cars, as our owners all went their separate ways to their homes to await the next exciting adventure
