Mighty Car Mods - Project MX-5
22 November 2013 / mightycarmods.com
Mighty Car Mods is an independent automotive series created by a couple of friends, Marty and Moog who started filming videos on Marty's mum's driveway in 2007. They've come a long way since then but they are still on the driveway with an unwavering focus of showing viewers great car projects that they can do themselves at home.
They make cars, and they make movies. In fact they do it all, with some help from their friends along the way. The Mighty Car Mods series now sees up to 1.2 million views per week making it the #1 Automotive channel in Australia, and the #1 DIY Automotive Channel in the world. With such a massive audience, they are bringing together an international, multicultural community of open minded car enthusiasts from every corner of the planet.
So why are we telling you all this? Because Marty bought himself a rusty 1990 NA6 MX-5 for $1500, cleaned it up, and now the boys have been using it as their project car for a series of DIY videos. They also produce an on-line magazine ($2.99 per issue), and issue 6 features a photographic story of Marty's original purchase and the clean-up process.
