Norah Head Lighthouse Run

After an early morning marked by heavy rain, 12 of us in 8 cars looked hopefully up from the Mt Colah meeting point as the sky slowly brightened and the rain eased off. Heading along the Old Pacific Highway, we carefully navigated the new (reduced) speed limits north for a quick run along Peats Ferry Road before taking the tight and bumpy Dog Trap Road as it wound through beautiful sections of rainforest. Finally we hit the bustling Central Coast and made our way to Norah Head where we were also met by Godwin and Gillian, plus Penny from the Hunter Chapter.

The lighthouse is a spectacular piece of architecture, with a fascinating history. The tour was terrific and the staff were great, letting us have the A1 parking spot!
