Steampacket Hotel Lunch

On an overcast morning six members, Bob and Linda, Tony, Leann and Kim and Fred,  in four cars met at the Heritage Bakery in Milton for our run through Batemans Bay for a morning coffee stop at the Mossy Point boat ramp café. A few were game enough to drive with our tops down and managed to dodge most of the rain. We were met at the boat ramp by Anda and Brian and rejuvenated ourselves with coffee and cake while we watched a group of school children in their kayaks and some fishermen who had a very captive audience of cormorants while they cleaned their catch. Suitably refreshed, we retraced our drive back to Batemans Bay and onto the Steampacket hotel in Nelligen. The threatening rain clouds decided that it was time to give us a cold shower just before we arrived at the hotel.  13seconds to close a roof does not sound too long but provides ample time to get thoroughly soaked when stationary in a rainstorm. Inside to lunch where delicious food and great company was the order of the day. An easy cruisey run, arranged at short notice to replace a cancelled weekend run.
