The Pink Ladies are Doing it for Cancer

15 February 2018 / Words by Tammie Hotz

Meet the Pink Ladies of MX-5 relay team - Alex, Kim, Lindsay and Tammie (Drivers), along with Pam (Team Manager) and pit crew Evan, Josh and Wulff. We could really use your support for our upcoming 6 Hour Regularity Relay on the Easter long weekend at Sydney Motorsport Park.

Our team of four ladies will be driving their Mazda MX-5s and are the first all-girl team from the MX-5 Club of NSW, representing chapters Hunter, Illawarra and RPM. Team Manager Pam will supply her years of experience & success as Team Manager and hopes to bring home yet another regularity trophy.

We are raising money for the Cancer Council. Every dollar counts to making good things happen for other people less fortunate and fighting this horrible disease.

We would love to see you at the event. If you can manage to make it we will be in Garage #3 which is up near the control tower. Spectator entry is FREE!!! Thank you, your support means so much.

Because 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, we are putting our driving skills and strategy skills to the test to raise funds for the Cancer Council and show our support to KISS CANCER GOODBYE!!!

Tammie wanted to share her story and why this fundraiser is so important.

"I had a dodgy mole on my arm that my doctor didn't like the look of. After it was removed and tested it was confirmed as being melanoma. If he hadn't acted on it, my story most probably would be much different. I also underwent breast surgery to have some strange lumps removed almost two years ago. Thankfully my results were good and apart from having regular checks I am fit, well and I am very grateful for that. Donating and supporting cancer research has and will continue to always be high on my agenda."

Please sponsor us to support cancer most and provide vital services for Australians living with cancer.

Many thanks
