NatMeet XIII is now less than four months away and there have been some minor revisions. Please read on for the latest news release. There are still opportunities to attend NatMeet XIII in the Barossa Valley SA in April 2018.

Motorsport has always been an important key to the success of the MX-5 Club of NSW, with our club members competing since the beginning in 1990. Our first club track day that we organised entirely on our own was at Wakefield Park on 20th January 1997. It is now 20 years since that major step for our club and on the weekend of 25/26 November 2017, we celebrated in some considerable style.

The second annual running of the Challenge Bathurst event at Mount Panorama was held from 16th November to 19th November 2017. Super Sprint for the fastest cars on Thursday & Friday was followed by Regularities on Saturday & Sunday. Several club members came home with some impressive silverware.

Dorrigo Mid-Week Run

A midweek drive to Dorrigo for the Mid North Coast Chapter proved to be a little too exciting for one of our crew. With a shredded tyre and running repairs, the day turned into quite an adventure.

Selection of the team to represent the Illawarra Chapter at the annual Jinba Ittai Karting Challenge was serious business for our intrepid Convenors, Jan & Garry. Afterall, we had a title to defend and this time we'd be travelling to RPM territory for the finals. The Illawarra qualifiers would be held over two dates at two venues.

On a sunny and pleasant Wednesday morning, 6 cars with 8 club members met at MacDonald’s Thornton for an easy-going cruise up the Hunter Valley to Gloucester and from there to Bulahdelah on John’s Midweek run. Or should I say on “JOHN’S ROAD WORKS” run.
