Braidwood Show and Shine
To compliment the Braidwood Show - the Braidwood Show and Shine is on - with all profits going to charity ($5 entry fee per car).
Gates open for entrants at 8.30am (Steve plans to attend 9am to 12.30pm) at the Braidwood Showground.
Members can arrive at anytime, please bring a chair - Steve has reserved spaces for the car club.

The event organizers are expecting over 300 cars from all over southern NSW and the ACT. There should be cars there that are not at the Shannons Show & Shine in Queanbeyan. I will have the clubs gazebo set up and will text/email its location to all members participating in the event. I know this event clashes with Coffee and Lies but that is life !
After lunch you can take the opportunity to explore Braidwood. This is a small town of 1,700 residents and although it is only 1 hrs drive from Canberra it still has a country town atmosphere. It is particularly interesting for its exceptionally well preserved colonial architecture, being the first town listed on the NSW State Heritage Register, with charming streets lined with historic buildings dating back to the 1800s, making it a prime spot to explore the history of gold rushes, bushrangers, and early pioneers in the region. There is more to Braidwood than a pie shop. The local pink pub sells an excellent Reschs beer on tap (its an acquired taste).
