Canberra Chapter Run to the President’s Picnic
This is the Canberra Chapter’s run to the All-Chapter President’s Picnic at Ebenezer.
This is a good day and a beautiful spot on the Hawksbury River. The Club will meet the cost of morning tea and lunch for members and there are a number of events organised that you may join in on (such as a show and shine).
Norm Barker has organised a scenic run the day before and accommodation at Richmond.
There’s heaps more info about the picnic and the events organised for the day at on the Club’s website: President’s Picnic.
To join the run:
- book your attendance though the MX-5 website (President’s Picnic). As an all-chapter event, you must register to ensure you are booked in for lunch and morning tea.
- book your accommodation at the Motel Colonial Motel Richmond and say you are with the MX-5 Club Canberra ($145 queen room).
- let Norm know you're coming (normanroz17@aussiebb.com.au or phone 0409 604 041). Norm needs to know you've booked your place and accommodation and your details (names, club membership numbers, email, and phone number).
Guests (non-members) are welcome, but will be charged $30 each if having lunch or $10 otherwise (pay at the registration desk upon arrival and receive a wrist band to enjoy coffee & cake).

Run Grade
This is a cruiser run, suitable for all drivers. It features some highway driving and a few country roads, but it will be fairly relaxed. The Club’s Grading System is described at https://nsw.mx5.com.au/events/important-information/run-gradings.
