Peter and Annemie are taking us to beautiful downtown Cootamundra for lunch. Cootamundra is the birthplace of Don Bradman and there is a museum in his honour as well as the Captains' Walk in a local park that features bronze sculptures of Australian Test Captains.

We’ll drive along the Barton and Hume Highways to Burley Griffin Way and then onto Murrumburrah for a morning coffee at the Terracotta Cafe.

At Murrumburrah we’ll have an opportunity for a coffee and walk around to view the silo art and the statue of "Bill the Bastard" that is now mounted on a plinth opposite the Terracotta Café (information at https://billthebastard.org/).

After coffee we will take a drive through the countryside, via some back roads, to Cootamundra for lunch. The venue for lunch to be decided.

The trip home will take us down back roads to either Jugiong or Yass for an afternoon coffee.

The distance for this run is approx. 320kms return.

RSVP to Peter Wilson at canberra@mx5.com.au.

Run Grade: This is a ‘hard’ run, suitable for experienced drivers. It features some country roads in generally good condition, although there may be some potholes to avoid, and some 100km/hr highways over a variety of terrains. The Club’s Grading System is described at https://nsw.mx5.com.au/events/important-information/run-gradings.
