Rod & Maryanne will lead us to beautiful Burrill Lake for proper local fish & chips in the park overlooking the estuary of Stony Creek. (Rod & Maryanne are stepping in as our Run Leaders, as Steve & Cecelia Wakeling have had other matters crop up that prevent them attending this trip.)

After a recommended take-away coffee from one of Bungendore's cafes, we will meet at Mick Sherd Oval on Gibraltar Street for a briefing and head out onto the Kings Highway. We'll go through Braidwood and down the Clyde to Nelligen (where there are toilets if a break is needed) and then onward to a hard left at the Princess Highway. From there it's a short 45 km to our lunch spot. All up, about two hours' drive.

The plan is to pick up F&C at The Fish Shop in Burrill Lake just over the bridge (a bulk order may be arranged) or, if you prefer, your own picnic lunch or something from the local cafe.

You might find it easier to bring your own chair and picnic gear.

We will return home the same way around 2:30pm.

There will be a maximum of 10 cars, so get your registration in early.

RSVP to Rod Nicholas at rcmx5canberra@gmail.com.

Run Grade: This is a ‘long’ run, suitable for most drivers. It features a busy, generally sound but sometimes twisty road;. However, the road has a reputation as dangerous (mainly due to driver error, impatience, and carelessness). Each leg of the trip is about two hours long. The Club’s Grading System is described at https://nsw.mx5.com.au/events/important-information/run-gradings.
