Today I have been contacted by One Raceway who advised that the track is not expected to be ready in August, and so they have cancelled our 25th August booking for Club Track Day Round 3.

This is very disappointing news as I was looking forward to returning after a long break, to the new improved Wakefield Park, as I am sure were many of you too. However, it is not to be for now, although One Raceway advise they will make contact when they have a better idea of an updated track build completion date, so it is possible we may still get an event there before the end of the year. I will also look at other venues, ie SMSP and Pheasant Wood, to see if we can find a date to replace the 25th August track day.

May I suggest that there are events run by other clubs that you could consider. Although I did not anticipate the 25th August cancellation, I wrote a recent article about some alternative events that might help fill the calendar gap that existed then between now and August. They are supersprint style track days by the Jaguar and Renault clubs on Sunday 23rd and Monday 24th June. FWIW, I intend to compete at the 23rd June CSCA event.
