Using Flickr Images
Flickr is a very powerful website for sharing photos and albums. Many of our club members use Flickr to share their photos and this makes it very easy for us to embed their photos on our website.
Embedding a Flickr Photo
1. Navigate to the Flickr photo that you wish to use on our website.
2. Click the Share Photo icon (bottom-right corner) and in the pop-up window, click Embed and set the size to Medium 640 x 427 (or smaller). Click on the code that starts with "<a data-flickr...", right-click and Copy.
3. Switch over to FarCry and navigate to the Body Content when editing an Event, News, etc. Click on a space on the page where you want the photo to appear and paste the code. Now click Complete and then Edit and the code will be replaced by the photo displayed in the Body Content.
4. Click Complete then Preview. When finished previewing and editing the page, click Publish and then Change Status.
Adding a link to a Flickr Album
1. Navigate to the Flickr album that you wish to use on our website.
2. Copy the URL from the web browser address bar.
3. Switch over to FarCry and navigate to the Body Content when editing an Event, News, etc. Click on a space on the page where you want the link to appear. Click Insert/edit Link, paste the URL in the first box, type the Text to display for the link (eg. Click here to see the photo album), change the Target to New window.
